Asked by phone for the approximate delivery time - 1h 15min. After 2h 30min the sushi is still not there.

Super delicious sushi, great as always! BUT we waited over 2 hours for the order! This is a little annoying ...

The sushi was pretty good. However, my friend had a piece of a plastic lid (probably from a soy sauce bottle) in the rice. When asked, they were only told to answer. Unfortunately, no apology or anything else happened to date.

Ordered via delivery service. The order took an hour and a half to arrive. In itself that's really not that bad. However, the sushi arrived warm and didn't taste that fresh. I bought different types of sushi for a total of € 50.00. We thought that we would 3. share this. Thought wrong! I had to turn on the stove again afterwards because the sushi would have been just enough for 1 person. I would have understood the price if the sushi was top quality. However, the 3 of us did not find that the sushi creations are exceptional or of superlatives. The price is inappropriate and really cheeky. Especially in these difficult times you should support your local restaurants. However, it is pretty difficult for someone to be ripped off like that. I'm sorry but the truth had to be spoken before other potential guests fell for this sushi mafia.

Delicious sushi. Unfortunately, you are not allowed to eat anything else there. The soup was completely tasteless and the main course was unreasonable: unseasoned rice with carrots from the glass. With the high prices you should be able to expect more.

As someone who, like me, lived in Japan for a few years, I can say that the food is ok here, but nothing more. At most average (better than the sushi in all of the China temples, of course). The price-performance ratio is bad. I've eaten much better at cheaper prices in Japan. Bought (picked up) sushi for two for two people today for 80 EUR for a special occasion and it's just not worth the money. The rice doesn't appear to be of the best quality, and the fish isn't exactly producing a taste explosion either. We had already been to this restaurant two years ago and had drawn the same sobering conclusion. Germans who claim the food here is the very best have no idea what sushi tastes like in Japan.

I can only recommend the Futomaki. I liked it very much.

We used the delivery service during lockdown. It was the first time we ordered here and we were really disappointed. Delivery took over an hour. My husband had Sushi which was OK but nothing special for the price. There are cheaper options around which can definetly keep up. But the greatest disappointment was my food. I ordered a Curry because I am not to keen on Sushi. First, they forgot my dish - what can happen, of course. But it took nearly another hour to get it and when I finally received it, it was completely cold. There was no apology or anything to make up for the mistake and the long waiting time. I did not like the meat nether and the portion size was really small for the price. All in all, the experience was not very satisfying. Maybe they had a bad day but I cannot recommend this place.

Delivery took longer on a Monday evening than communicated. Price / performance ratio was more bad than right. Pity! Sushi was not of the usual quality. Yatikori too small. Bowl was ok but didn't blow us away. Soup was fine too.

We have ordered several times and the sushi is delicious. BUT: yesterday we were called after almost 1.5 hours of waiting and we were told that the delivery would be delayed for more than 1 hour and whether we wanted to cancel the order because of that. After we answered in the affirmative, the order was not canceled via Lieferando as stated and we still have not got our money (almost € 80) back. When asked at the restaurant, it was said that the order had been canceled by Lieferando. So called Lieferando, see there the order was not canceled and we were lied to brazenly. In any case, that was the last order for us.

Already ordered several times and eaten on site. The quality and the freshness - simply great! Coleslaw and soy sauce are always included free of charge for home deliveries. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The food is good, but it is better not to be hungry. I ordered at 6:21 pm and they didn't deliver until 8:28 pm, I'm used to the delays in your deliveries, but 2 hours? This is really ridiculous!

Everything looks very good optically. However, in terms of taste, I was very disappointed, in some cases the rice was not well done. I like the ones from the supermarket better and are also cheaper.

Great dishes. Very nice for the eye and the palate. Well worth going over! However, the waitress clears away too quickly and wine and plum wine is gone faster than you can drink it :-)

We visited the Kaoru when the evening shop opened. We ordered warm main courses and sushi. It was excellent. Back soon.

We were very disappointed! We waited an hour until we finally got the first drink. Then 2 of 4 starters were served. The third half an hour later and the soup was completely forgotten. The main courses were ok but not more. A main course was completely missing again. In between there was no question whether we would like to have a drink. In the end we were told that the kitchen would close at 10 p.m. and that we should order dessert immediately. As if it was our fault that we waited forever. Conclusion. Absolutely not to be recommended.

In 2018 the sushi was not cheap, but definitely cheap. After Corona we have already ordered twice and what was delivered was a disappointment and today even a cheek. Sushi and a curry for 116 €, the sushi fit in a medium-sized box, under the nigiri some rice was saved, the magurozuke weren't exactly flamed, two out of three of the special rolls were compared to the picture (and orders last year) only half the length delivered. It was really embarrassing. The whole thing currently has nothing to do with the pictures on the homepage and that was definitely our last order here.

OK - but nothing more. The dishes look good optically. Rather boring in taste. Ambience very sober. Service nice.

Super great evening. Service very friendly. The atmosphere there is very good and the food was amazing. You not only tasted the good quality, but also the right, good preparation. Nothing was missing that evening.

Great food, the service can be improved

A table must always be reserved in advance. Sushi are delicious and served well. The staff is always friendly. The waiting time for the order is not too long. I can only recommend this restaurant!

Yesterday I ordered a bunch of Sushi. I also ordered Edamame Spicy. The complete experience has been very good, although not so much with the Edamame dish. When you see the Edamame dish on the web what is above it, which makes it spicy, is like a powder. It came to us with a large amount of sweet and spicy sauce that looked like from the supermarket. If an ingredient is not available, call the customer and propose a change. Don't decide for yourself. The Edame was wet because of the sauce.

I order from Kaoru lot, it's always tasty and orgenized. The delivery takes more than an hour and sometimes more, but they are always nice. One time they accidentally sent the wrong rolls, I called them and they sent me new ones quickly. To conclude: good food and good service.

The sushi is great. One of the best I've had in Germany. Waiting times were crazy though, spent 3 hrs there, of which 2.5 were waiting. Quite expensive.

Problems with delivery. They did not deliver everything we had ordered. Had to call them twice before they finally delivered the last parts of the order. By then it had been almost 2 hours since the original delivery was made. Its sad because the food is really good.

Best japanese restaurant in the region.

Very generous portions. The Unagi Don Bento was sublime....

Excellent quality food and service, would highly recommend for a date or special occassion.

Expensive, but soooo delicious. Definitely my favorite sushi in Mannheim.

Nice sushi, a bit overpriced

Overall, the experience is pleasant and the food is good. We, i.e. two people, ate there on a Saturday at around 5pm and it didn’t seem too busy. Yet, we had to wait quite long for the ordered sushi. Nigiris and other sushi pieces are made well, but the taste is not too special. The fish, especially on the salmon nigiris did not fulfill my expectation considering the price. While the food did taste ok overall, we did expect better fish quality and taste for the price we paid.

Delicious food and friendly, young service! There is a star deduction, because the meal has come at a very staggered time to the table. That was because of the asparagus .. would have been better to have everything at the same time on the table

Best Sushi in town!

Nice location, good sashimi.

Started with ordering the food. come in early at 5:30, as a first customer, the wait staff looked at the reservation and checking to see where should I put this guy, hm. No one around, so let me put you at the bar. Great, sit at the bar. I immediately order an item. And one of the chef said, you have to wait for the waitress to take your order. Ok, service please, one order p8. 25 minutes later my order come. I'm the only customer, they have 4 waitresses, 4 chefs. Ok, so let's dive to food. .. ... ... I think lidl sushi a bit better than this. As the other reviewer said, even they can't get the sushi rice. The crumbs stale, the fish tatted like it had better days and the tuna, doesn't even look like tuna

It's my go-to sushi restaurant in Mannheim; that being said, I really miss the sushi boats that were replaced by a new sushi bar is far from cozy.

Good food and quiet environment

Really good sushi restaurant. Exceptional quality and good price. Also nice and helpful service. The desserts are also a recommendation.

We enjoyed a warm welcome on the new years eve and had some of the best sushi we ever had. The other dishes with fried fish were also very tasty and interesting. Many thanks for the great evening. Love to you guys!
